MAURIZIO TINI
Between 1990 and 2003, Tini produced numerous films for cinema and television, including La mia generazione by Wilma Labate—presented at the Venice Film Festival in 1996 and Italy’s official submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars in 1997—and Sangue vivo by Edoardo Winspeare, which won the Nuevos Directores Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival in 2000 and was also presented at the Sundance Film Festival that same year. He also worked on miniseries and TV series for the Italian and European markets, such as Due volte vent’anni starring Mariangela Melato, Meglio tardi che mai and Una storia qualunque starring Nino Manfredi, both top-rated shows on RAI networks.
Between 2004 and 2014, Tini took on the role of Head of Television Production at one of Italy’s leading production companies, Cattleya, which during that period expanded its activities from film production to the entire audiovisual sector. Over that decade, Cattleya produced miniseries and series for RAI, Mediaset, and Sky—including the cult series Romanzo Criminale and Gomorra (Season 1)—often in collaboration with major European partners.
Since 2015, Tini has returned to independent production, working on L’Ispettore Coliandro (Seasons 5-6-7-8) and La Porta Rossa (Seasons 1-2-3), both of which were top-rated on Rai2, Il silenzio dell’acqua (Seasons 1-2) on Canale 5, and Per Elisa – Il Caso Claps on Rai1.
